Burns Club Celebrates the Life of Lawrence Cormack

At the regular March Luncheon Meeting this afternoon, the Burns Club, remembered, and celebrated the life of, it's late president Lawrence Cormack.  Following a moment of silence prior to the lunch, club secretary Colin read Burns' Epitaph on William Muir, before symbolically passing the gavel to new President Don Rennicks..

During his remarks Don Rennicks  called Lawrence a friend and a mentor.

The Burns Club Mens Chorus entertained after the meeting by singing "The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen"  Club member Mima Kir read a poem popular with both she and Lawrence from their school days.  Club Secretary Colin Harris read "Masonic Song" in tribute to Lawrence, a lifelong member of the craft.

New name badges, an initiative of Lawrence, were distributed to all members present at the meeting.
